LOUIS HOCEVAR earned a dual Bachelor's degree in Graphic
Arts and Television Production from the University of Akron in 1977. From 1975-1979 he was a Series Producer, Writer
and Graphic Designer for the Ohio PBS Network. In 1979 he established Hocevar Video in Miami Florida. During
the 1980's and 1990's, Hocevar produced and directed hundreds of local and regional TV commercials and also earned
a national reputation as a Freelance Network Cameraman. He traveled extensively for ESPN, TBS, CBS, NBC, Univision and
Telemundo Networks as a helicopter cameraman for Offshore Power Boat Racing, rooftop cameraman for NASCAR and INDYCAR
races, and crane, dolly and hand-held cameraman for concerts (Rolling Stones), events (Pope John Paul) and
music videos (Julio Englesias).
LILIANA KURPANIK earned a Bachelor
of Science in Communications from Ohio University in 1982. She began her TV career as one of the original Broadcast
Engineering Staff who helped to build and bring the new WDZL TV39 on line in the Miami Market. In consecutive Miami TV jobs; WDZL 82-85, WBFS 85-89 and WFOR(CBS) 89-95, Liliana expanded her technical skills
to include Master Control Operation, News Tape, News Microwave and Video Tape Editing. From 1986-96 she also worked in
freelance commercial production for several Miami companies including Hocevar Video. As HVI's clientele expanded
into international location production, Liliana's responsibilities for HVI grew
to include Production Management, Video Editing, Equipment Purchasing and Maintenance. In 1996 Liliana joined
HVI full-time and currently functions as our Production and IT Manager overseeing our
five AVID Edit Systems, DVD authoring and Web Site creation.
